We’re excited about the newly launched points of presence (POPs) in 2023! The year is not yet a month old, and we have already launched 4 new points of presence on two different continents, and more will follow this year! Namely, Copenhagen, Dublin, Lisbon, and Lima have been added. Our mission is to continuously improve web performance, and each POP contributes to it. The new POPs are in production and have been automatically added to all existing Zones.
Copenhagen – DenmarkThree other KeyCDN POP sites previously surrounded Copenhagen. With a dedicated POP, latency for visitors is reduced even further, resulting in better loading times.
Dublin – IrelandWith the introduction of a POP in Ireland, requests no longer need to be forwarded to the POP in London. The total population of Ireland as of January 2022 was 5 million, with approximately 2 million residents in the greater Dublin area. This makes Dublin the ideal location for an edge server.
