WelcomesWeekly locale statsHelp & feedback wanted:We have some news about the new notifications’ system at translate.wordpress.org. All users will be opt-out by default, and they should opt-in to receive notifications, at https://translate.wordpress.org/settings/ We’re concerned about due to the opt-in, many people will initially miss that conversations are going on because they won’t get notified. We’re thinking about how to make people aware of the opt-in possibility and how they’d benefit from it:A banner on the top explaining that you can opt in. That banner can be closed and won’t show again.A one-time full screen opt-in screen that can be closed and will never appear again.Allow opting in with a checkbox when submitting a translation.Other ideas?If your locale has a variant on translate.w.org and you’d like it to be integrated in WP Polyglots facilitator, give this thread a read.FYI:Tip: When translating URLs there is a list of URLs that can be localised without any GlotPress warnings. Current list (using es locale) is:wordpress.org » es.wordpress.orgwordpress.com » es.wordpress.comen.gravatar.com » es.gravatar.comen.wikipedia.org » es.wikipedia.orgTip: if a new plugin on w.org has translations provided by the author’s plugin, these will be imported during the initial import – only once. These translations aren’t assigned to any user and will be marked as waiting, to allow GTEs/PTEs to review them. You can filter for these anonymous translations by writing “anonymous” in the author field. Previously, these translations were not marked as waiting, but current, so you might want to check for these anonymous strings in your locale.
